About Dr. Éva,
 
 
I am a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in Houston, Texas. I love working with my clients to help them develop the skills that they need to develop healthier, more satisfying lives.
 
 
I completed my clinical psychology internship at the Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas and received my Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida. In addition to my clinical expertise, I also have an academic background having been a Visiting Assistant Professor of Behavioral Sciences at the University of Houston at Clear Lake City. I had also been a Clinical Assistant Professor for a number of years at the Department of Psychiatry at both at the Baylor College of Medicine and the University of Texas Medical School.
 
  
I have also served as a consultant with the Harris County of Education, Texas Neurological Clinic, and the Houston Headache Clinic. I have given talks to public and professional audiences and have been a guest on several radio and television programs. I have authored several book chapters and professional articles and have been quoted in several newspapers including the Houston Chronicle, the Houston Post, USA Today, and the Houston Woman, Redbook, and New Woman magazines. I am a past president of the Houston Behavior Therapy Association and I’m a member of many professional organizations including the American Psychological Association, Texas Psychological Association, and Houston Psychological Association. As a professional psychologist, I offer individual, couples, and family therapy.
 
  
I understand that your problems are as unique as you are and I tailor your treatment to meet your individual needs. I am here to provide you with the support and encouragement that you need and to teach skills to improve your relationships, enhance your self esteem, and help you cope with anxiety/depression. I work with adults, adolescents, elderly persons, couples and children. My clinical interests include women’s issues, anxiety disorders, phobias, depression, stress related physical disorders, relationship issues, couples counseling, grief resolution divorce, eating disorders, and ADHD. Treatment modalities include cogitative behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, EMDR, relaxation training, stress management, hypnotherapy, and family systems therapy.
